One resource you may be aware of is your local PMI, project management institute, chapter.
There you will find others in the PM field, events, seminars, and training. For local support, it is one of the best options that you have to learn your field.
In addition, you can visit other chapters near you or out of town. Most have a monthly meeting with both a visitor and member fee options.
The last dinner meeting I attended was a presentation on making the most of LinkedIn for your career. Very encouraging to not just upload your resume but helpful information on online learning, writing articles, how to make connections properly and other helpful information.
PMI chapters often hold breakfast and information meetings that don’t require purchasing a ticket or entrance fee. Review the calendar and see what might be of interest to you.
